Welcome to Shaggy to Chic grooming boutique – a bright ’boutique-like’ studio located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in lower Stoney Creek, Ontario.
‘Shaggy to Chic’s’ loyal customer base has been built on QUALITY and not quantity, the atmosphere is calm and relaxed. The aim is always to make the grooming process a positive experience while employing the highest standards of the trade. We provide an open boutique based atmosphere and attention to detail that cannot be matched in a high volume shop.

SOME FINE PRINT - but right up front
I take a personal approach to the care of your pet, and aim to build a relationship with each of my clients. In order to be able to offer a safe and quality groom for my clients, I have a few basic requirements:
- – I only groom pets 25 lbs and under
- – I currently only offer full grooms – no individual services such as nail trim
- – I only groom pets free from behavioural or aggression issues
- – I strongly advise a pre-booking schedule so that your pet gets regular care
- – I ask my clients to be prompt at pet drop-off and collection, to minimize schedule interruptions and impact on other clients’ appointments – Please be within 5 minutes of drop-off and pickup times
- – There will be a surcharge for accommodations that require additional time such as medicated shampoos, slow dry vs. high velocity, extended stay requests etc.
- – This salon promotes ‘free roam’ for dogs not currently ‘on the table’. If your dog has aggression issues with other dogs, they may be crated while they wait.
- – Undisclosed poor condition of the coat or behaviour issues may result in added cost and/or refusal of the dog
- – We book on an hourly basis and cancellations can leave an empty block in the schedule that could have otherwise been used by another customer. If you don’t show for your appointment I lose that income. A 24 hour notice is required for a cancellation. Please see our policy page for fees.

If you have an appointment, please walk through the side gate and enter the shop through the marked door. You may choose to wear a mask but it is not required. If you so desire, I can wear a mask, please let me know ahead of your visit.
Our Aim
We strive for a low anxiety, calm experience for your pet
Our focus is on providing a low stress experience for your pet. Dogs are allowed to roam free before and after their groom, given that they are not aggressive with other clients, and they’re not experiencing extreme anxiety, urinating, etc. Pets that are not thriving by being free are kennelled for their own safety and that of other clients.
